(1) Vendor needs to provide labor and employment law services to the government authority located in Warren, RI.– Investigate all employment related legal claims or complaints against the authority and those that may be presented by the authority.– Assists board members and authority employees to understand statutes, regulations, ordinances, codes, etc., that apply to their respective offices or duties and assist in ensuring compliance thereto.– Advise the board and officers pertaining to labor contract negotiations; represent the board in negotiating collective bargaining agreements based on the board’s input.– Promote a high level of ethical standards and fairness by providing awareness to board members and authority employees to avoid potential conflicts of interest and prohibitive transactions that may be actual or could be perceived as such by others.– Advise and assist in the development and implementation of employment policies and procedures as needed.(2) All question must be submitted no later than January 29, 2025.(3) A contract period will be for one year.
