Vendor needs to provide catering services to the government authority located in Scituate, RI.– The agency is seeking a finance administrative assistant and AP specialist, who shall report to the town treasurer to handle various school payroll functions and accounts payable, assist with human resources and flex benefits and other clerical office duties.– The position is full–time, 35 hours per week.1. General:– Assist the treasurer and finance director in performing a variety of duties that are related to the office operation.– Answer telephone calls and work with all other town departments on issues pertaining to budget, receipts and payroll.– Performs clerical tasks such as typing, filing and making copies.2. Payroll:– Post bi–weekly school payroll figures to the general ledger system.– Post employer share of FICA or medicare, retirement, tiaa–cref and pension costs to general ledger.– Prepare year–end employee census for actuary for calculation of valuation reports.3. Accounts payable:– Review invoices for early and regular payment.– Enter invoices into the accounts payable system.– Print and mail checks to vendors.– Prepare journal entries to fund payments via the expense account.– Add and maintain vendor files.
