(1) Vendor needs to provide grow your own teacher apprenticeship program service to the government authority located in Rhode Island. - Providence public school district with a tuition-free education resulting in a post-secondary degree or credential, and Rhode Island teacher certification in at least one certification field. - All certification fields offered as part of the proposed partnership must be mutually agreed upon by the Awardee - To allow agency to competitively select agency partners who will work with agency to create high-quality pathways by which aspiring teachers can become teachers for free while getting paid to do so. - These aspiring teachers may be current agency, substitute teachers, tutors, non-certified employees, parents, guardians, or other community members who have shown a heart for students and expressed interest in becoming a teacher within Providence schools. - During the program, all candidates will be employed by agency and serve in a paid, full-time, student-facing position while completing their coursework and clinical experience requirements. - PPSD will ensure that candidates will not serve as the teacher-of-record in a clinical practice setting prior to their completion of the program. - provide competitive funding to select agency, who will in turn agree to use funds awarded by agency to cover all tuition, textbooks, certification assessments, and fees on behalf of candidates selected by agency for enrollment. - To help lower financial barriers to entry for a more diverse pool of candidates, while also maintaining a high bar for the quality of preparation that those candidates receive. - By increasing agency enrollment, removing financial barriers, prioritizing extended clinical internship and student teaching experience, and recruiting directly from within our diverse local community, agency believes our district can both strengthen existing EPP relationships and forge new partnerships that will provide a sustainable, high-quality teacher pipeline. (2) A pre-bid conference will be held on June 28, 2023. (3) All questions must be submitted no later than July 14, 2023. (4) The contract will be one year.
