(1) Vendor needs to provide development of a district strategic plan.
- Strategic Plan and refining the strategic mission and vision for the agency.
- This assistance will provide the agency with a strategic plan that will identify measurable goals and goal attainment strategies for the agency.
- Include support in engaging the school committee, administration, town officials, educators, parents, students, and community members in assessing the future needs and direction of the District.
- Providing leadership and technical assistance to the agency in the development of a mission, vision, measurable goals, and score card which can easily be entered into the state Accountability System
- Conducting, facilitating and attending meetings as appropriate
- Reporting and presenting updates and results and recommendations of the planning process to the school committee and the public
- Assisting in the development and completion of a Strategic Plan for presentation, review, and revision, as necessary.
- Developing a mechanism for use in the ongoing communication and updates of the strategic goals and objectives
- Coaching district and school leaders on the implementation of the strategic plan and associated goals, with an emphasis on continuous improvement, systems thinking, and two-way communication
- Working collaboratively with district representatives
- Collecting and reviewing existing policies/documents, data, strategic plans, and district reports, etc.
- Conducting interviews and focus groups with the superintendent, school committee, and others to identify major areas of interest and focus for the plan
- Clarifying the number and types of participants in the process and their respective roles
- Creating a reporting structure for the process with timelines and milestones in the form of the district and aligned school scorecards aligned to the state Accountability System
- Facilitate professional development for the school board and leadership, advancing the district's current commitment to continuous improvement
