[B] Scope of Service:
Vendor needs to provide city wide non-violence training services with the goals of enhancing participants’ ability to analyze and identify different forms of conflict, empowering participants to develop cooperative problem-solving strategies needed to improve the community environment by decreasing tension and hostility, and increasing participants’ awareness of and fluency in basic, intermediate, and advanced conflict reconciliation and mediation techniques to the government authority located in Providence, RI.
- Build a robust recruitment network of existing youth-serving non-profits with the goals of: Increasing overall youth (ages 15-24) participation in trainings.
- Proactively identifying and referring youth at high risk of being involved in situations of conflict and violence to participate in trainings.
- Develop and execute a city-wide advertising campaign with the goal of increasing accessibility of information related to conflict resolution strategies.
- Proactively identifying interpersonal conflicts between individuals and groups of individuals at risk of escalating to violence.
- Providing a trauma-informed, anti-racist, anti-stigma, strength-based intervention into such conflicts to offer mediation and reconciliation.
- Referring at-risk residents to basic needs and social services as needed.
