Government Authority located in Providence, Rhode Island; USA based organization looking for expert vendor for COVID vaccination services.
[A] Budget: Looking for Proposals
[B] Scope of Service:
(1) Vendor needs to provide COVID vaccination services for staff and administrative support at future locations across the state to the government authority located in Providence, RI.
• Maintain familiarity with vaccine products, eligibility criteria, and vaccine contraindications, as these will continue to change.
• Operate on site at vaccination centers for up to six days per week (with an option of seven days) to meet demand for a period of up to 12 months.
• Operate a Screening station to ensure that all patients who enter are wearing a mask, apply hand sanitizer, and are fever-free.
• Operate an eligibility verification station to ensure only those who are registered and eligible move forward to get vaccinated.
• Counsel patients about COVID-19 vaccine before vaccination and answer each intended vaccine recipient’s questions or concerns.
• Screen patients for contraindications to vaccination, which at the present time includes age, history of anaphylaxis to injectable medical products, and prior reaction to COVID19 vaccine.
• Prepare vaccine for injection in accordance with manufacturers’ recommendations, as provided for providers.
• Administer the vaccine according to manufacturers’ recommendations, as provided for providers, and in a manner that is consistent with accepted medical practices.
• Have the ability to support onsite remote WIFI access through use of vendor provided equipment to the State’s online clinic management, appointment scheduling, and reporting system.
• COVID-19 vaccination providers must document vaccine administration in the state’s medical record systems within 24 hours of administration and use their best efforts to report administration data to the relevant system for the state as soon as practicable and no later than 72 hours after administration. daily immunization records for all vaccines administered in the state are reportable the state’s immunization information system.
• Communicate to patients the requirement that the second dose must be the same product used as the initial dose.
• Provide the patient with the information and any support needed to schedule their second dose appointment at the completion of their first vaccination.
• Provide a completed vaccination card to the patient or their caregiver.
• Dispose of medical waste into the proper storage containers and take responsibility for the disposal of the medical waste.
• Have capabilities to establish and implement insurance billing to recover cost of administration of vaccine. The state requests that the vendor attempt to bill the patient’s insurance first, unless indicated by the state.
• The vendor will need to supply their own Wi-Fi network on site and have onsite laptops and tablets with Wi-Fi capabilities for the validation of the patient’s registration information in the state’s record system.
(2) Contract term will be one year.
