[A] Budget: Looking for Proposal
[B] Scope of Service:
(1) Vendor needs to provide legal support service for eviction defense to the government authority located in Providence, RI.
- The legal representation afforded to tenants as part of this program should lead to quantifiable improvements in outcomes compared to tenants facing eviction without representation.
- Development and delivery of eviction defense pilot, including goals for long-term expansion in order to provide any resident facing eviction with counsel.
- Delivery of direct legal services to low- to moderate-income tenants to prevent eviction or buffer its effects for those individuals. This includes taking cases and providing representation to underrepresented tenants in court and providing advice and consultation to unrepresented tenants.
- Subcontracting with other organizations as necessary.
- Regular reporting to the city on progress of eviction defense pilot and identification of opportunities to expand the pilot.
(2) All questions must be submitted no later than May 8, 2020.
