[A] Budget: Looking for Proposal
[B] Scope of Service:
(1) Vendor needs to provide medical stop loss and reinsurance service for medical and prescription drug benefits for employees, retirees, and their dependents to the government authority located in Pawtucket, RI.
- The reinsurance carrier must be an admitted carrier in the state.
- The offer is effective for at least forty-five (45) days from the deadline of submission.
- Upon notice of award by city, the carrier must issue a contract within 30 days. Failure to do so may result in withdrawal of award by city.
- Quotes must comply with all applicable federal and state statutes, including but not limited to mandates outlined in the affordable care act.
- Quotes must supply complete carrier proposal packages including underwriting pages, contingencies, etc. premiums quoted should include stop loss claims tracking and reporting, broker commissions, taxes, and any other carrier cost and fees. Proposer must have the capability to electronically track and file all claims associated with the reinsurance contract.
- Additional information not disclosed in the proposal will not be accepted at any point after the submission of the proposal.
- Final responses shall be submitted no later than June 16th at noon. All rates quoted are final. Additional information or contingencies not disclosed in the proposal will not be accepted at any point after the submission of the proposal.
- The city reserves the right to interview proposers and to visit their offices prior to reaching a final decision on the award of the contract. The city reserves the right to negotiate with submitters to secure the best available proposal.
(2) All questions must be submitted no later than April 29, 2020.
