[A] Budget: Looking for Proposal
[B] Scope of Service:
Vendor needs to provide EMS medical director services to be the Emergency Medical Service Physician Medical Director for the City of Central Falls. This individual must be a physician board-certified or board-eligible and, have completed an EMS Medical Director postgraduate training course, be
licensed to practice medicine in Rhode Island, and be able to provide guidance, leadership,
oversight and continuous quality improvement for an ambulance service and its EMS
practitioners including
- Conduct and oversee quality assurance and performance improvement.
- Approve service sponsored or required continuing education.
- Participate in the selection and approval of medical equipment.
- Provide input on operational, including deployment strategies, and budget issues that
affect patient care.
- Provide online/onsite medical consultation and control and field supervision, if required.
- Grant, suspend, or revoke an EMS practitioner’s privilege to practice within the
ambulance service.
- Serve as the medical liaison with community, state, and national organizations to the government authority located in Central Falls, RI.
