Vendor needs to provide dietary and nutritional services to the government authority located in Rhode Island.1. Dietary or nutritional counseling:– Provide individual counseling to patients based on provider referral.– Assist healthcare staff by evaluating medical diet orders.2. Group classes or education:– Provide classes in the areas of general nutrition and medical needs (i.e., weight management, recipes). Topics should be based on the specific needs and interests identified in each facility.– Provide job training programming in culinary nutrition.– Develop materials specific to the incarcerated population to improve food and nutrition knowledge.3. Food services:– Work collaboratively with the associate director of food services to assess the nutritional value of meals served to the incarcerated population.– Evaluate the delivery of meals to the incarcerated population with special dietary and nutritional needs (i.e., low calorie, carbohydrate controlled, bland, etc.).
