(1) Vendor needs to provide medical billing service.– Monthly reporting to the town that details the activity for the month as well as the type of services provided.– A system of receiving reports from the town on a daily basis and rapid verification of information on the reports to insure billing can be quickly and efficiently accomplished.– A data base which includes all diagnostic codes and procedure codes including newly established codes and fee schedules created under the affordable health care act in order to sequence each rescue run properly and receive the maximum payment– Shall obtain the information necessary for billing purposes from the electronic patient care reporting system.– Shall include, but not be limited to, electronic hospital reports, fire rescue incident reports and automobile accident reports.– Must establish a process by which all rejected claims for payment are quickly reviewed, corrected and resubmitted.– Retain complete discretion of all administrative decisions regarding the management and billing of and receiving of payments for emergency medical services.– Vendor will deposit all payments directly into a special account set up by the town.– Ability to retrieve patient demographic and insurance electronically from the local hospitals affiliated with our service delivery– Provide monthly statistical reports to allow the town to accurately track and manage its EMS activity.– Vendor must submit documentation that its system can accept NEMSIS NISE XML billing data files.– Must submit a sample patient statement (bill) generated for a rescue run.(2) All questions must be submitted no later than May 31, 2024.(3) The contract term will be three years
