(1) Vendor needs to provide executive search firm service for position of president of college to the government authority located in Rhode Island.
- Organize the search process
- Assist an advisory committee appointed by the council to schedule open forums with campus stakeholders to develop a position profile for the new president
- Place the advertisement for the presidential search
- Identify and attract a strong candidate pool
- Develop an appropriate preliminary screening process
- Assist in the identification of a short list of candidates for the Council
- Work with the search committee to reduce the short list to the finalists
- Check the references for the finalists
- Maintain the confidentiality of the process
- Provide necessary follow-up and concluding activities, including the negotiation of terms of employment for the successful candidate
- Advise on all aspects of the search
- Provide assistance to the search committee in recruiting, screening and evaluating candidates.
- Help facilitate meetings and engage in active and ongoing interact ion throughout all stages of the recruitment and selection process with members of the search committee.
- Perform active outreach and solicitation of individuals with superior qualifications and experience to encourage them to become part of the pool of prospects, including but not limited to contacts with qualified women and ethnic minority individuals.
- Maintain all applications, resumes, and related materials in a manner which is consistent with the requirements of state and federal law and which is designed to preserve the confidentiality of all prospective candidates for the position.
- Help facilitate interview schedules of final candidates, including coordination of candidates' travel arrangements.
- Conduct reference and background checks of finalists as directed.
- Assist in finalizing the terms and conditions of employment and transition plans for the successful candidate, if requested to do so.
(2) The contract will be one year.
