Government Authority located in Rhode Island; USA, based organization looking for expert vendor for behavioral health system of care for children and youth service.
[A] Budget: Looking for Proposals
[B] Scope of Service:
(1) Vendor needs to provide behavioral health system of care for children and youth service to the government authority located in Rhode Island.
- Population level challenges including structural racism and the inequities of the ability of all families to access programs and resources that address social determinants of health.
- Mental health and substance use conditions affecting children, youth, and families that are rising in scope and severity over the past number of years.
- COVID-19, which has had an enormous impact on our families and their children, because of isolation, school closures, economic challenges, and grief and loss.
- The inadequacy of the behavioral health system which, underfunded for years, has led to workforce shortages, siloed state agency approaches and policies, and waiting lists that leave families.
1. Hiring and onboarding
- This position will work with management and state staff to mentor and coach family and youth leaders to participate in the steering committee and family work group, and engage family members in project oversight, evaluation, and sustainability planning.
- The lead family coordinator should have experience with the state’s existing behavioral health system of care for children and youth, that would ideally stem from caring for a child who participated in this care.
2. Strategic collaboration and project management
- The lead family coordinator will work closely with the children’s mobile crisis and community based intensive care service providers to ensure family driven practice approaches, including face-to-face services, attendance at care planning meetings with caregivers around their children's mental health, and other child and family service
3. Manage family work group
- The lead family coordinator will assist with recruitment for and management of the family work group, which will serve as an ongoing process evaluation team for the components of the and the policy reviews and implementation throughout the grant.    
4. Special Enhancement Activities
- Should additional funding become available, reserves the option to direct the successful.

Performance of the work will be Offsite. Vendor needs to carry work in their office premises.
