[A] Budget: Looking for Proposal
[B] Scope of Service:
Vendor needs to provide behavioral health crisis co-response team to the government authority located in Providence, Rhode Island.
- To develop and implement a model for co-response programs that meets the unique needs of the city of providence in the dispatch center and community
- To create the necessary tools and procedures to implement program activities and program measures aim to collect data required for ongoing monitoring and program evaluation
- Provide clinician to co-respond to behavioral health and social services calls with providence fire and ems (paired team)
• Providing onsite triage for individuals experiencing behavioral health crisis
• Assisting in de-escalating conflict when there are no imminent threats of harm
• Accompanying providence fire and ems in the transportation of clients to emergency or clinical services
• Connect individuals to resources, services, and treatment with the aim of reducing emergency response utilization
• Provide follow up services, as appropriate, to persons served
• Maintain knowledge of available behavioral health and social services available
- Provide clinician to work with the providence public safety dispatch team to answer and assist on behavioral health and social service calls for a maximum of 40 hours per week
• Triage the behavioral health needs of the caller and suggest appropriate levels of intervention, including but not limited to:
• Verbal crisis counseling and de-escalation over the phone
• Dispatch of mobile crisis response unit in instances where phone counseling and de-escalation is deemed insufficient
• Dispatch of police in instances where the threat of harm to others is imminent
• Referral of residents to short, medium, or long-term behavioral healthcare services
- Assist fire and ems dispatchers in appropriately triaging calls when not responding to a current caller
- Call tracking system, outside of computer aided dispatch, to document calls taken by clinician and calls where clinician provided assistance to dispatch team
- Develop trauma-informed, anti-racist, anti-stigma, gender-affirming, culturally appropriate, standard operating procedures for behavioral health crisis response.

Performance of the work will be Offsite. Vendor needs to carry work in their office location.
