Government Authority located in Rhode Island; USA based organization looking for expert vendor for workers compensation third party administrator services.
[A] Budget: Looking for Proposals
[B] Scope of Service:
Vendor needs to provide workers compensation third party administrator services
- The TPA will work with a liaison from agency Risk Management Department to handle all claims. The TPA shall make personal contact with the injured employees and their treating physician when possible, within 24 hours with an indemnity claim. Personal contact will also be made to an injured worker who files a medical only claim. Please note that agency will not advance any funds to pay claims or claims expenses. agency will instead reimburse the payment of claims.
1. Complete turnkey TPA workers compensation program from claim inception to claim resolution for all RIPTA employees who make claims.
2. Assume responsibility for all new and old open claims.
3. Review and investigate each claim to determine compensability.
4. Determine claimant benefits levels for each valid claim.
5. Work with RIPTA personnel to determine and establish case reserves.
6. Advise RIPTA personnel of any claim developments.
7. Prepare and file all necessary compensation agreements.
8. Professionally prepare files for legal defense of claims
9. Assist RIPTA legal counsel and staff as necessary in handling claims.
10. Implement necessary management information programs for a successful workers compensation program.
11. Assist RIPTA’s personnel in the recognition of subrogation.
12. Initiate and coordinate all claims.
13. Provide investigative program/tools as needed.
14. Other needed services to provide a successful workers compensation program.
15. Each company submitting a proposal must provide a Certificate of Insurance evidencing claims adjusters’ errors and omissions insurance coverage in the minimum of $1,000,000.
16. All proposals must contain in writing all terms and conditions of the offer being made.
17. The successful proposer shall pay its own expenses incurred in assisting the Authority under this proposal, including its out-of pocket Administrative disbursements, travel expenses, cost of surveys, and all salaries of its employees.

- Onshore (USA Organization Only);
[D] Work Performance:
Performance of the work will be Offsite. Vendor needs to carry work in their office location.
