[B] Scope of Service:
(1) Vendor needs to provide epidemiology consultant services to the government authority located in Providence, RI.
- The consultant will assist the Healthy Communities Office with 1,500 hours of epidemiology services for a work plan agreed to by both parties that will include overseeing all data collection, analysis planning, data analysis, interpretation and reporting for the Providence Partnerships for Success grant. Specific activities include:
• Work directly with the Project Director on all evaluation activities for this grant.
• Coordinate all activities with the Project Evaluator and follow all data analysis, transfer, and confidentiality protocols.
• Participate with a team of prevention specialists, community coalition, and other community stakeholders to evaluate best practice programs, policies, and procedures to address underage alcohol and tobacco use for youth ages 12-17-years old.
• Analyze project data and project implementation procedures for improvement and adjustments in processes and program approach.
• Provide advice and technical assistance about performance monitoring.
• Provide advice in the development and implementation of procedures, methods, and strategies for obtaining and using data that describe the prevalence of major health risks in an area, or the results of a program or comprehensive approach to a public health problem.
• Assist with the design of a permanent data infrastructure for performance monitoring.
• Work collaboratively with community partners and stakeholders.
• Support ongoing grant reporting in compliance with SAMHSA and grant requirements.
• Remote or in-person participation in project meetings and minimal local travel.
