[A] Budget: Looking for Proposals
[B] Scope of Service:
(1) Vendor needs to provide IT virtual network management service to the government authority located in Providence, RI.
1. Data Centers
- Vendor will be responsible for monitoring both our data centers, 24/7 365 days a year; this includes business hours, after business hours, weekends and all holidays.
- All alerts, warnings, failures, problems or issues will be responsibility of the vendor to resolve as quickly as possible. Resolution can be completed by the vendor or with assistance of a third-party. Vendor must keep the IT staff aware of all problems with our data centers in a timely manner.
- Upgrade software (including updates), VMware tools and Firmware, as necessary as released. We expect the Data Center software and VMWare tools to remain current.
- Ensure all certificates are current, renew any that will expire.
2 VxRail
- Vendor will be responsible for monitoring both of our VxRail, 24/7 365 days a year; this includes business hours, after business hours, weekends and all holidays.
- All Alerts, Warnings, Failures, Problems or Issues will be responsibility of the vendor to resolve as quickly as possible. Resolution can be completed by the vendor or with assistance of a third-party. Vendor must keep the IT staff aware of any and all problems with our VxRail in a timely manner.
- Upgrade software (including updates) and firmware, as necessary released. We expect the VxRail software to remain current.
3. vSAN
- Vendor will be responsible for monitoring each of our vSAN, 24/7 365 days a year; this includes business hours, after business hours, weekends and all holidays.
- All alerts, warnings, failures, problems or issues will be responsibility of the vendor to resolve as quickly as possible. Resolution can be completed by the vendor or with assistance of a third-party. Vendor must keep the IT staff aware of any and all problems with our vSAN in a timely manner.
- Upgrade software (including updates) and firmware, as necessary released. We expect the vSAN software to remain current.
4. Veeam Backups
- Vendor will be responsible for monitoring both backup servers, Veeam 9.5 and Veeam for Office 365, 24/7 365 days a year; this includes business hours, after business hours, weekends and all holidays.
- All alerts, warnings, failures, problems or issues will be responsibility of the vendor to resolve as quickly as possible. Resolution can be completed by the vendor or with assistance of a third-party. Vendor must keep the IT staff aware of any and all problems with the Veeam backups in a timely
manner.
- Upgrade software and firmware, including software updates, as necessary released. We expect the Veeam software to remain current.
5. Virtual Environment
- Our virtual environment will be handled by the vendor as if the virtual environment was installed at their location. The vendor will be responsible to make sure our virtual environment is 100% operational, has the latest software and VMware tools installed. If failures, alerts or warnings should
arise it will be the responsibility of the vendor to resolve as quickly as possible and communicate the problem and a solution with the agency IT staff. IT staff should not and will not notify the vendor of failures, alerts warnings or software updates with our virtual environment, VxRail, vSAN or Veeam
software.
6. Disaster Recovery
- Within the first three months of this contract, vendor will review our existing virtual environment disaster recovery (DR) Plan and make recommendations or create a plan, if necessary. Annually (April or May), test our virtual environment DR plan to make sure it is working as expected. We understand if changes are required to our existing virtual environment DR plan there may be
additional cost. We will not pay any additional costs to run tests of our DR plan, since the vendor will review and make any necessary recommendations to our DR Plan.
7. Review Licenses
- Vendor to review our virtual environment licenses to make sure we are not over or under licensed.
