[A] Budget: Looking for Proposal
[B] Scope of Service:
(1) Vendor needs to provide residential refuse and recycling collection services to the government authority located in Smithfield, RI.
- Residential Refuse: To collect, remove, and transport residential refuse in the manner described in these specifications, once per week, at curb side from the street or right-of-way abutting the premises of all one to six family residential dwelling houses or condominium complexes
- Roll-off Containers: To furnish all labour and equipment to collect, remove, and transport refuse in the manner described in these specifications, once per week unless otherwise noted, at selected locations town owned buildings and residential condominium units
- Bulk Household Rubbish: To furnish all labour and equipment to collect, remove, and transport bulk household rubbish in the manner described in these specifications at curb side from the street or right-of-way abutting the premises of all one to six family residential dwelling structures situated in the town
- Household Appliances and Metals: To furnish all labour and equipment to collect, remove, and transport household appliances and metal items on a monthly basis, as specified and this item shall
be quantified and bid as a deduct bid item
- Yard Waste: There shall be no comingling of yard waste and refuse or recycling
- Christmas Trees: To furnish all labour and equipment to collect, remove, and transport residential Christmas trees in the manner described in these specifications, for two weeks in the month of January of each year, at curb side from the street or right-of-way abutting the premises of all one to six family residential dwelling houses situated in the town
- Natural Disaster and Severe Weather Clean-Up: In the event of a hurricane, tornado, major storm, flood, or other natural disaster and severe weather, the contractor primary responsibility shall be to re-establish regular routes and schedules for collection services as soon after the natural disaster and severe weather as possible
(2) A mandatory pre-bid meeting will be held on July 29, 2019.
(3) Contract period will be for six years.
